GRTU Malta Chamber of SMEs organised a seminar for business owners to assist Maltese SMEs in becoming compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The new GDPR comes into force on the 25th of May 2018. For the first time, this new regulation will create a common set of EU rules to enable the flow of data in the EU Digital Single Market and give stronger rights to citizens and consumers.

GRTU felt the need to organise a half day seminar focusing on the essential information required. Those present had the opportunity to address questions directly to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner, as well as obtain professional guidance form a panel of experts.

Tuning Fork’s CEO, Ing. Joe Caruana, was a member of the panel to answer questions and provide simple answers to small businesses in understanding the basics of GDPR compliance, and suggest simple solutions in line with Tuning Fork’s methodology in assisting SMEs become GDPR compliant, quickly and cost effectively.
